Indices
As well as spread betting on individual shares you can also spread bet
on movements in the world stock exchanges.
Spreadex's stock index futures quotes relate to the performance of
markets such as the UK 100, Germany 30, Wall Street 30, SPX 500, US
Tech 100, Japan 225, France 40, Eurostocks 50 and Swiss Index.
The majority of our stock index futures trade on a quarterly cycle of
March, June, September and December, however, you can open and close
out spread bets at any given point to realise profits or limit losses.
Our daily quotes relate to the UK 100 Daily, Germany 30 Daily and
Wall Street Daily and, just like our futures quotes, settlement is
based on the exchange's official closing price.
Daily bets expire each day, although you can roll bets over each night.
You can 'buy' or go long if you think the outcome will be higher than
our price or 'sell' or short if you feel it will be lower.
There are also different minimum size bets and notional trading
requirements for each market.
